How much does it cost to build your own fishing rod?
I’ve been tinkering with the idea of building my own fishing rod. Mainly because I can’t really find the type of rod that I need and the ones I see for sale are ridiculously priced. In total with only an 8 foot carbon fiber blank, how much would the entire process cost me to build this rod?
I have made some rods myself and unless you have all the equipment needed such as the turners etc. You are problery better off going to a rod maker or buying a HIGH quality rod like a loomis. Besides if your homemade one has troubles or breakes on a big fish, The return policy is pretty poor.
